En noviembre del año pasado, me tocó viajar a Buenos Aires, para asistir al congreso de la Asociación Latinoamericana del Discurso. Hubo interesantes exposiciones y la posibilidad de ver a las celebrities del campo académico. Entre disertaciones, salía a caminar para matar el tiempo y ver lugares. Así, en una de las caminatas, pasé por un negocio que tenía en liquidación cosas para tapicería y allí los vi: unos carreteles enormes de hilo para bordar, a muy buen precio. Me compré dos, uno turquesa y otro verde. Y así anduve caminando, con libros, la laptop, papeles y los carreteles, por lugares como Corrientes, Callao, Santa Fe, 9 de Julio, Microcentro.
Last November, I went to Buenos Aires, for a congress of the Latinamerican Discourse Association. There were interesting presentations and the chance to see the celebs from the academic field. In between conferences, I went for long walks to kill time and see places. So, during one of those strolls, I went by an upholstery shop that had a clearance sale, and there I saw them: some big bobbins of embroidery thread at a great price. I bought two, one green and the other turquoise. And that way I went on walking, through places like Corrientes, Callao, Santa Fe, 9 de Julio, Microcentro, with books, my laptop, papers and the huge bobbins.
